Found a smoke house and sports bar to watch the World Cup Final. Okay game, not a lot of fans and great Brisket.
On to Gillette Wyoming which will be the staging point for Devel’s tower and then on to Sturgis.
Checking into the hotel in Sturgis, the young man at the desk and I talked soccer. He unfortunately was a Man U supporter and was disturbed by my guessing he was a Liverpool fan. Like all true Man U supporters, he is was optimistic about the coming season and critical of there moves in the off season.
On my way into my room I met “Betty” and “Veronica” (never did get there names). Betty used to ride and was at the early rallies when there were no hotels and everyone was camping. She was very dismissive of Daytona and had lots of advice. Encouraged me to ride Needles Highway.
